State Testing Season
With the change in season comes Ohio AIR Testing for our students in grades 3-12. Our Rangers have prepared all year for these standardized tests. As we continue to review and practice the skills we have learned this year at school, we hope that you can help with a few things at home. A good night’s rest is important to being awake and alert. Please remind your Rangers, young and older, to get full nights of sleep during testing week. Also, help them to get to school with ample time to get settled in to their testing room. Rushing around in the morning can lead to unnecessary anxiety.
They say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. So, whether your student eats at home before arriving to school, or here in our cafeteria, please encourage a good breakfast. We certainly don’t want our students to having growling stomachs during the tests!
Next, for those that have iPads that go home with them every night, please help your student to remember to charge their iPad daily. We will need all iPads to be fully charged each morning.
Finally, while we believe that the students in our community are so much more than the score of a standardized test, we do want to set them up for the most success in the following weeks. Please help in encouraging your Ranger to do their very best. It is their time to shine and to show just how much they’ve learned throughout this school year!

The preschool programs are developmentally appropriate, play-based preschools supporting the Ohio Department of Education’s model curriculum.
The Wood County Preschool Program is an inclusionary preschool program serving children who have delays in development and children who are typically developing. Tuition, based on a sliding-fee scale, is charged for children without special needs. Children attend preschool two full days per week (either Tues/Thurs or Wed/Fri).
Please contact Naomi at firstname.lastname@example.org or 419-354-9010, ext. 133 to get on the 2018-2019 mailing list. Parents who have questions regarding children who may have special needs can also contact Naomi.
