NLS Welcomes Ranger Alumni as New Teachers!

Ms. Chelsea James

21314854_10209745934346458_7750835606845044680_nThis year, NES welcomes a new sixth grade Intervention Specialist, Ms. Chelsea James. Ms. James is an alumna of Northwood High School  and Bowling Green State University. Ms. James has taught at Toledo Public Schools for the last three and a half years. When asked what she is most looking forward to this year, she stated, “Encouraging a new group of students to be the best they can be!” Ms. James explained that the students can count on her being around to help them when they are in need. When not in the classroom, Ms. James enjoys volunteering at the Humane Society and fostering animals! Ms. James concluded by saying, “I am very excited to be back at Northwood as a teacher after attending school here!”

 

Mrs. Laryn Wheeler

IMG_5707NHS also has a new face in Health and Physical Education teacher, Mrs. Laryn Wheeler. Also a Ranger alumna, Mrs. Wheeler received her bachelor’s degree from The University of Toledo. Mrs. Wheeler stated that she is looking forward to getting to know the students and being able to share with them the joy of the Northwood community that she had when she was a student at NLS.

Students in Mrs. Wheeler’s classes can look forward to learning to have a better understanding of physical activity and better overall health for themselves. As a 2006 Ranger graduate, Mrs. Wheeler stated that she is very excited to be back with her fellow Rangers!
