4th Students Finish Reading Projects and Prepare for “Tacky Holiday Sweater Project”
Mrs. Chrysochoos’ fourth grade Language Arts students have been busy reading! Some of the fourth grade classes are finishing up the book George Washington’s Socks, while other classes are finishing up their independently chosen Patricia Polocco books. Both classes have been focusing on the skills of summarizing and determining a theme in stories. Within this unit, students have done various iPad activities and have even made their own books!
Next week, students will begin working on “The Tacky Holiday Sweater Project.” Students will work in groups to create their own tacky sweaters. They will also complete a writing project about the sweaters. Students can even look forward to a culminating fashion show. Mrs. Chrysochoos playfully refers to the event as, “Project Runway-NES Style!” Students are super exciting to begin working on this fun project! Finally, Mrs. Chrysochoos wanted to add that the fourth and fifth grade students did a fabulous job at their Christmas Music Program!
